Search Engine Meets AJAX

I came across a new search engine called searchmash while getting my daily fix of commandN (video blog) and this “new” search tool is something special. Before you think that you’ll be going away from your beloved Google…do not fret. In fact, this IS Google (read the terms of service to see for yourself). This is the first time I even heard about it so it may be one of those pet-projects that hasn’t gotten mass-publicized yet.

Basically, it’s the next generation of search engine that utilizes the wonderful power of AJAX to make the results page a great tool that you can customize on the fly. It can search images, videos…even other blogs for keywords that you search - all in one master results page.
