Head-to-Head: Vector VS. Pixel

by User Imagejonh on December 1, 2008

vector_vs_pixelThe Vector-based vs. Pixel-based discussion is a frequent and somewhat abstract concept that I find myself having to explain quite often. This is no fault of anyone. For people not immersed in graphics design, all that most clients care about is whether or not their logo looks good on their buildings, website, stationery and those cool office mugs (I love coffee mugs). The underlying concepts are the things we uppity designers are paid to know about.

Kind of like me and auto mechanics. Don’t know…don’t want to know – just tell me where to sign (but don’t think I’m a complete idiot).

The folks over at MacMerc.com nailed it with a short and easy-to-understand tutorial on the differences. They did such a good job…why don’t you just head on over and give it a play. This would be a great page to bookmark and pass along to your clients if they actually care to know the differences.
