Firefox and the Impending Release of IE7

As a web tech professional, the topic internet browsers is one I’m constantly monitoring. I presently have gone almost exclusively to Firefox and the few extensions I’ve added which has helped speed up my workflow. I was a pretty faithful Safari user (Mac OS X) until recently because Firefox works best in all environments (including those annoying ASP sites that work hard at NOT playing nice with all non-IE browsers).
So, IE7 is coming out soon. As a Mac user, I honestly couldn’t care less. I wouldn’t use IE if someone paid me to. But, I realize many still are stuck on IE and more don’t even realize there are other better (and safer) browsers out there available for FREE.
Here’s an article from one of the original creators of Firefox and his thoughts about the next release of Firefox (Firefox 2.0) and the coming release of IE7. This is a great look at the basic differences between the two and yet more reasons why the Firefox approach is the BEST approach for all users.
