A little self-promotion…

To all my church friends (and beyond), I thought this would be a good time to invite you to check out an online tool/resource I hope to use for Portland Christian Center (”My-Actual-Church”) in the next phase of our web development cycle.  I passed along some logo ideas to the folks at MyChurch.org and they were gracious enough to not only give them a serious look but also move it up the chain and consider the ideas for the next phase of their development.  They just posted a blog to that effect so I invite you all to hop on and check it out.  Feedback is being requested.

Since I’d like all my church friends to hop on board, I can now offer one more reason to do so - to support me.

Podcasting Keeps Up the Momentum

As more and more people become acquainted with the wonderful world of “podcasting” - audio and video - the number of active podcast consumers keep climbing.  With so many tools available that make subscribing to podcasts relatively easy, this mode of communication will continue to make strides forward.  As an avid podcast / vlog user, I digest a substantial amount of information on a daily basis.

I came across the following article [ click the title below to read ] that highlights this exploding trend.

A FREE Storyboard Editor for Film & Stage

If you are like me and find yourself doing a lot of different media tasks, one tool that really comes in handy when working on video, live or recorded programming schedules or Flash movies is a good storyboard editor that allows you to compile a scene-by-scene mock-up of your entire project.  I came across celtx by just doing some digging.  It’s a free and quite powerful application that has all the necessary pieces to make it a valuable part of my application arsenal.
