Managing Tasks with Things the GTD way
[Mac-only Tip:] As someone who loves the workflow ideals of the GTD system by David Allen (I know, I’m hardly alone in this one), I’ve been on the hunt for a great system of managing my workflow. I gave the iGTD program a good run for a time but could never quite feel comfortable using it.
So, when I came across Things designed by the folks at CulturedCode I gave it a good run and I must confess that iGTD is a thing of the past. I love the relative simplicity of Things.
So, if you’re looking for a streamlined method to manage tasks, then I suggest giving Things a try. It’s a free Preview download since it’s still in Beta with an official release sometime in the spring of 2008. The cost will be $49 but if you signup to their newsletter, you can knock the cost down to $39 when it’s officially released.

Firefox 3 Beta 3 Available
I’ve become more and more of a Safari user of late (Mac OS 10.5 / Leopard) largely due to the need to just get on the internet and find information. I’m becoming more and more of a speed and reductionist user where less is more and speed is king…features are secondary. At times Firefox seems too bogged down with the add-ons that are a part of my configuration which is less that I had in the past (I did pair things down hoping to speed things up).
All that to say, there is now a new BETA version (#3) of Firefox available as of this week and these past days I’ve been using it more and LOVIN’ it. The only downside is that some of the extensions aren’t available at the moment but my key ones are (ScribeFire, Google Notebook and Greasemonkey).
It is still in BETA so if you have any concerns, I recommend NOT overwriting your Firefox 2 application.
